The Luxembourg House is proud to present the London première of Luxembourg artist Gust Graas' new exhibition CARPE DIEM.
The private view takes place on Wednesday 6 May 2014 from 6 to 8 pm at the Luxembourg House, 27 Wilton Crescent, London SW1X 8SD. Please RSVP the Luxembourg Embassy at londres.amb@mae.etat.lu if you would like to attend. The exhibition will be open to the public from 7 May to 27 June 2014 by appointment only.
Gust Graas, born in Luxembourg in 1924, has exhibited regularly in Luxembourg and other European countries, as well as China and Dubai. In his book 'The Spanish Years', the artist writes:
'I paint a picture of a free and generously bright and joyful nature which is celebrating continuous movement. I float from the light to the sombre, between the constant and the unsteady, from wild exhuberance to quiet tenderness, between mild gusts of wind and a dangerous precipice. In my colours you can find beauty, happiness and strength.'
