Félix Braz attends the summit « WE PROTECT Children Online » in London
On 10 December 2014, Luxembourg’s Minister of Justice, Félix Braz, attended the Global Summit “WE PROTECT Children Online” which focused on the fight against the sexual exploitation of children on the internet.
The summit, which took place in London, brought together ministers from 46 countries and representatives from civil society to discuss the challenges presented by the scourge of online sexual exploitation of children as well as looking at strategies to combat it.
Luxembourg also signed the summit’s Statement of Action which underlined the necessity of cooperation in order to meet the following aims:
1) Better identification and protection of victims
2) Better cooperation between authorities and civil society to allow for swift prosecution of the perpetrators of these crimes
3) Rapid detection and removal of images containing child abuse from the internet
