London 2012 Olympic Games
TTRRHH the Grand Duke and Grand Duchess of Luxembourg attended the reception given by HM Queen Elizabeth at Buckingham Palace for heads of state and government on the occasion of the Summer Olympic Games.
TTRRHH the Grand Duke and Grand Duchess, as well as TTRRHH Crown Prince Guillaume, Prince Félix, Prince Louis, Princess Tessy, Princess Alexandra and Prince Sébastien, then attended the opening ceremony at London’s Olympic Stadium.
During the course of the Olympic Games, the Grand Ducal family attended various sporting events in order to show their support for Luxembourg’s athletes.
The Grand Duke had also participated in the meeting of the International Olympic Committee which had taken place in London on 23 – 26 July 2012.
