Luxembourg among the Top 20 most competitive countries in the world
The newly published “ Global Competitiveness Report 2014-2015 ” by the World Economic Forum ranks Luxembourg 19th in its Global Competitiveness Index which assesses the competitiveness landscape of 144 economies. Last year’s report ranked Luxembourg 22nd out of 144 countries, based on 114 indicators in 12 categories.
This year’s edition indicates that the economy of the country is becoming increasingly innovative and sophisticated. It’s good score in efficiency and exporting is among the highlighted indicators of the current edition.
Last June, the World Economic Forum published its report on the analysis of the implementation of the Europe 2020 strategy within the European Union where Luxembourg ranks 8th among the 28 countries of the European Union (with a score of 5,07 out of 7).
