Moody’s confirms Luxembourg’s AAA rating
The rating agency Moody’s has confirmed Luxembourg’s AAA rating (stable), making it the third agency to give the country the highest rating.
Moody’s announcement confirms Luxembourg’s favourable economic trends. The analysis underlines the open and innovative character of the economy, the positive effects of the “Zukunftspak” and the effective supervision of the financial sector.
Pierre Gramegna, Minister of Finance, welcomed the announcement, stating: “This proves that the government’s policy to diversify our economy and our financial centre, and the consolidation of our public finances while maintaining a high level of investment, is starting to bring about results.”
