The students from the Centre of Luxembourg Studies, Sheffield University visit the Luxembourg Embassy in London

Published Tuesday October 28 2014

The Students were greeted by the Ambassador, Patrick Engelberg, and the Deputy Head of Mission, Mr Jean Claude Kugener and were given a tour of the Embassy’s historic building, once home to Luxembourg’s exiled Grand Duchess Charlotte and Government during WWII.  The visitors from Sheffield were then joined by fellow students from both the Society of Luxembourg Students in Britain (SLSB) and Oxford University Belgo-Luxembourgish Society (OUBLS) for a presentation on the Belgian Luxembourg Chamber Of Commerce (BLCC) by its Director, Mr Philippe Sauvage.  The presentation was followed by a social gathering where the students were joined by members of the Luxembourg Society for an evening of food and drink, including traditional “Ierzebulli” soup - which was polished off in no time at all!
