Communication concerning the airlines operating on the territory of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg

The Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs wishes to inform the airlines operating on the territory of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg that the Luxembourg that the Luxembourg authorities have extended the temporary immigration restrictions for third country nationals until 31 December 2020.

The list of third countries whose residents are authorised to enter the territory of Luxembourg, as well as the other exceptions of categories of third country nationals remain unchanged.

Notwithstanding, henceforth short-stay visits to a family member of an EU citizen and to a third country national family member, residing in Luxembourg will be exempt from the travel restrictions applying to third countries.

The same applies to short-stay visits to partners residing in Luxembourg who will also be exempt from the travel restrictions applying to third countries.

The authorisation to entry Luxembourg will be submitted to the usual conditions applicable in the framework of short-stay visits.

For traveler categories covered by the previous paragraphs and the categories of travelers 8, 11 and 121, an express request for the issue of a specific certificate must be sent to the Passport, Visa and Legalization Office (BPVL) by email (service.visas@mae.etat.lu).
