On the occasion of Luxembourg’s National Day, the Ambassador of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, H.E. Mr. Georges Friden, and Mrs Claudine Friden hosted a garden party on Monday, 16 June 2025, in the presence of His Excellency Mr. Luc Frieden, Prime Minister of Luxembourg.

We were honoured to welcome the Prime Minister to London for this special celebration. His presence underscored the strength of the diplomatic, economic, and cultural ties between Luxembourg and the United Kingdom, and served as a clear expression of his commitment to further deepening these relations.

We were delighted by the excellent turnout, which brought together many distinguished guests. In particular, we were pleased to welcome members of the diplomatic corps, representatives from the UK government and the financial sector, and the academic community. It was equally heartening to see representatives of Luxembourg Businesses in the UK, members of the Luxembourg Society, Luxembourgish students pursuing their studies in the UK, and numerous members of our wider Luxembourg community in the United Kingdom.
